NC IDEA
Navigating the startup world is no small feat. Startups may begin as a seed, looking for nourishment: sunlight, water, healthy soil, and a strong will and determination to grow strong and steady. Mentorship is one of these nourishments for startups, and WeyeZE has received such mentorship from amazing individuals. We are now finalists for the NC IDEA MICRO grant program, a funding paired with mentorship program to accelerate WeyeZE’s growth. With final interviews having taken place this past week, it has already been a fantastic opportunity to network and learn more about the funding process as a 20 year old founder in NC. So far, here are three takeaways I’d like to highlight that I carry with me in life and career:
Be relentless in the pursuit of what you believe will impact the world positively.
A certain degree of delusion can prove invaluable when doing something no one has done before.
Do yourself a favor and ignore imposter syndrome. It’s difficult to dispose of it, so for now, simply ignore it. Turn its volume down in your mind.
Thank you to NC IDEA for the opportunity to interview for this amazing program. Looking forward to the future…
